James C. MacRae III started working with the firm in 2024. Before joining the firm, Jim graduated from East Carolina University in 2018, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. He then graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2022. After being licensed, Jim worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Cumberland County, North Carolina. He is currently a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Cumberland County Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Jim is licensed to practice in North Carolina State Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Jim’s practice focuses on land condemnation/eminent domain to include litigation of DOT, utility, and gas line easements, all aspects of criminal defense including DWI and other traffic related issues, and litigation involving injuries, wrongful death, and premise liability.
Jim was born and raised right outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina in the Gray’s Creek area right along the banks of the Cape Fear River. He is a generational member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and enjoys all things outdoors. He is excited to be serving the community that he calls home.
